Swab Wagon Company specializes in the restoration and preservation of antique fire apparatuses. We offer all levels of restoration, from touch-up cosmetic work, to full, off-frame restorations. We also offer pump and valve rebuilds. In general, we do not do engine and transmission work, so any issues relating that area of the project should be contracted separately at a specialist in those fields.

In the Northeast U.S., a Swab sales representative will come to your station to look at the apparatus in person, perform a full inspection of the apparatus, and provide you a written proposal on the work. Depending on the nature of the work, at Swab’s discretion, we will provide a written specification with price quotation, or provide a written scope of work with a price estimate and a stated labor rate. 

All restoration projects are billed on a month-by-month basis throughout the course of the project.
